Prose page in Leonardo's mirror script (Ms A)
Foliated treatise leaf with a heading break; Institut de France stamp at the margin.
A page of Leonardo's mirror-script prose from the Ashburnham I leaves cut from Manuscript A, foliated at the upper right and marked with an oval Institut de France stamp. The main column is divided by a centred heading into two sections of prose, with the mirror text of an overlapping leaf showing along the lower edge, and no drawings appear. The wording is not supplied in this bundle and is left untranscribed here. Further untranscribed writing is present across the leaf.

Untranscribed sections of treatise prose
Two blocks of Leonardo's right-to-left prose, separated by a centred heading, fill the column in the manner of Manuscript A's precepts. None of the wording is included in the bundle, so it is described rather than transcribed. No figures accompany it, and the mirror text of an adjoining leaf appears along the bottom.
