Treatise page of three titled sections
Mirror-script prose, foliated 26, from the leaves cut from Notebook A; not transcribed in this edition
The leaf carries three successive paragraphs of Leonardo's mirror-writing, each opened by its own short heading, with red folio numbers at the upper right and the oval Institut de France library stamp at the middle. The edge of the following leaf and a little offset script are visible along the margins. The page has no diagrams, and its text is not transcribed in this edition. It is one of the discursive leaves cut from Notebook A and later restored.

Three headed sections of untranscribed prose
The column is divided into three paragraphs of continuous mirror-script, each introduced by a short heading set above it. No transcription is supplied here, so the wording is left unread from the image. The section-by-section structure is that of the treatise material filling these leaves.
