The leaf is densely written in Leonardo's mirror-script, with a heading across the top of the column and several paragraphs below, each opened by its own short heading. In the upper right margin is a small cluster of pen-drawn pointed forms resembling distant hills or peaks, echoing a similar mark on a companion leaf. The page has no other diagrams, and its text is not transcribed in this edition. It belongs to the discursive leaves cut from Notebook A and later restored.

Marginal sketch of pointed peaks
A small group of pen strokes in the upper right margin forms several pointed, triangular shapes suggesting distant hills or mountains. It is a rapid marginal jotting rather than a worked-up drawing. The mark stands beside the opening lines, whose wording is not transcribed here.

Beneath the top heading the column runs on in successive paragraphs of continuous mirror-script, each introduced by a short heading. The text is not transcribed in this edition and is left unread from the image. Its precept-by-precept arrangement matches the treatise prose of these leaves.
