This leaf, numbered folio 3 and stamped by the Bibliotheque de l'Institut de France, is given over to boats: a long ship's hull at the top with a high curved prow at the left and a low mast amidships, and two further elongated hulls below, sketched with internal fittings and pointed ends. A block of Leonardo's mirror-script runs between the upper and lower vessels; it is not included in this bundle and is left untranscribed here.

Ship hull with curved prow and lower boat hulls
At the top a long, low hull is drawn in perspective with a high curved prow rising at the left and a short mast amidships, its planking indicated by fine parallel lines in the water. Below, two more elongated boat hulls are sketched freely, each with pointed ends and internal fittings suggesting seats, decking or a working mechanism.
