This heavily faded leaf carries a horizontal hatched structure at upper centre that appears to enclose a mechanism, and at lower right an A-frame timber derrick or hoist braced by struts. Both drawings sit within page-filling mirror-writing that has largely faded and is not transcribed in this edition; further untranscribed text is present.

Housed horizontal mechanism
At the upper centre a long hatched enclosure appears to house a mechanism, with internal members and fittings faintly indicated. The heavy fading leaves its exact function unclear.
Timber A-frame derrick or hoist
At the lower right a tall A-frame of timbers braced by cross-struts rises to a head, of the kind used to lift or drive heavy loads on a work site. It is drawn more firmly than the surrounding faded lines.
