Ground-plans of a ravelin, a battlemented tower and a wall 'cat', with a beam-joining detail
The sheet is given over to fortification plans drawn in ink. A large ground-plan shows the manner of a ravelin set before a fortress, another gives the foundation of a battlemented square tower at its upper floor, and a detail shows the foundation of a covered wall 'cat' (gatto) sheltered from attack above and from the side. A separate framework labelled p q illustrates how to set one beam onto another, and two numerals appear written upside down.

A detail shows the foundation of a wall gatto, a covered siege gallery, so contrived that it can be attacked neither from above nor from the side.
