A rotating naval battery of paired bombards, said to be a Majorcan invention, and a siege machine that clears the way
Two military machines are named and drawn. The Circumfulgore is a naval device, said to be the invention of the men of Majorca: a circle of bombards, always an even number, mounted so that firing two opposite guns at the same instant cancels the recoil and keeps the ship from being driven back. A second name, Circumtronito, is written above. At the foot a row of similar sloping structures labelled vinea, with the foundation of a vinea, illustrates a machine that makes the roadway and levels the banks.

A naval machine said to be invented by the men of Majorca. A circle of bombards of any even number is mounted so that opposite pieces are fired at the same moment; each gun braces the recoil of the one across from it, so the shot is effective and the ship is not driven backward.
