Portable trestle staging for decorating walls

Trestles and a platform are drawn as portable staging for painters. The note calls them portable platforms for reaching to decorate walls.

Smoothing a new brick floor

When a brick pavement has been laid, take a piece of soft stone or a tile and, while it is still fresh, rub it, giving it water often. The instruction accompanies a small floor-smoothing tool.

Two whitewashing brushes

Two brushes for whitewashers are drawn at the right: the first, straight, has 1/3 of a braccio of bristles; the second, bent, has 2/3.

Drawbridge raised by a windlass

A drawbridge is raised by the chain m made fast to the windlass S. The parts are labelled windlass, S and drawbridge.
