If four mobile bodies a, b, c and d of equal weight, material and figure are moved by a single power, their motion will be equal. The diagram shows four balls set on parallel trajectory lines, each marked with a 1. Equality of the bodies yields equality of their travel.
Graded weights 8, 4, 2, 1 and distance thrown
With weights graded 8, 4, 2 and 1, Leonardo notes that if the power is great the weight of 8 will travel farther from its mover than a weight of one pound. The balls are drawn at differing sizes along their lines to signal the graded loads. The claim links a larger load to a longer throw under a sufficiently strong power.

A third row of balls on trajectory lines is labelled 1, 2, 3, 4, continuing the comparison of graded weights against distance travelled. No further sentence accompanies this diagram in the transcription.
