Lifting mechanism; plan of the Milan castle moats
A hoist like that of f.31v, and a plan of the flooded moats of the Castle of Milan
The folio pairs two subjects. On the right is a hoisting mechanism that the compiler describes as analogous to the device on folio 31v. The rest is a plan ('planimetria') of the Castle of Milan and its water defences, showing an outer moat (rifosso), a canal two braccia wide, and the castle with its dammed moats, together with a note on the flooding (ingorgazione) of the castle's moats.

Hoist analogous to that of f.31v
On the right, a lifting mechanism that the compiler explicitly relates to the spring-and-screw device drawn on folio 31v, repeating the earlier hoisting arrangement.
Plan of the Castle of Milan and its moats
A plan showing the outer moat (rifosso) of Milan, a canal two braccia wide, and the castle with its dammed moats (castello co' fossi ingorgati).
Flooding of the castle moats
A note on the ingorgazione — the deliberate damming and flooding — of the moats of the Castle of Milan, treating the water held in the defensive ditches.
