Bridge from Pera to Constantinople
Plan and elevation of a single-span bridge, given in braccia
Drawn with the page inverted, the sheet gives the plan and elevation of a great bridge from Pera to Constantinople. The note records it as 40 braccia wide, 70 braccia above the water and 600 braccia long, of which 400 span the sea and 200 rest on land, the structure forming its own abutments. A scaffolding is sketched alongside.

Bridge from Pera to Constantinople
The bridge is given as 40 braccia wide, 70 braccia high above the water and 600 braccia long. Of that length, 400 braccia cross over the sea and 200 rest on land. The lower drawing shows the arched span in elevation, the upper one its plan.
A single span forming its own abutments
The note states that the bridge makes shoulders of itself for itself, that is, it forms its own abutments rather than relying on separate piers. The 200 braccia resting on land carry the thrust of the 400-braccia sea span. It is framed as one continuous structure.
Scaffolding
A framed scaffolding is sketched at the top of the sheet beside the bridge drawings. The caption names it without further description. No text accompanies this element.
