Bearing of the fortress of the port of Cesena
Leonardo records that the fortress of the port of Cesena stands from Cesena along the quarter-point toward the south-west (libeccio), a directional bearing tying the port-fortress to the town. A line marked with running distances descends across the sheet as a rough survey of the intervening ground.

A short stretch of walling is drawn in section at the upper left, its top divided into merlons and its body hatched to show masonry. It belongs with the fortification survey noted in the text.
Dimensions of a large timber framework
A note headed as a large framework (impalcatura) gives its measurements as braccia 30, braccia 18 within, and braccia 122. The figures set out the span of a substantial timber scaffold or structure.
