Grouped and boxed parallel lines
Three parallel lines are linked in pairs by curved pen strokes, and a curved stroke encircles the group. Two further groups of three parallels each enclose two of the lines within a box. The drawings isolate pairs of parallels for comparison.
Three parallels cut by a transversal
A lower figure shows three parallel lines crossed by a single diagonal. Three of the resulting angles are marked equal by dots. The figure extends the study of angles formed when a transversal cuts several parallels.
