A study in red chalk (sanguine) of a young woman shown standing and turned slightly, her head lifted and her hair gathered in loose curls. Her body is wrapped in softly indicated drapery, and her right arm reaches out toward the right edge of the sheet. The figure is drawn on cream laid paper that carries the Uffizi collection stamps at the lower corners. No text accompanies the drawing.

A young female figure stands in three-quarter turn, her head raised and hair curling at the shoulders. Loose drapery falls over the body while the extended right arm breaks past the edge of the sheet. The chalk is rubbed and soft, leaving the lower folds only lightly sketched.
