Figure studies and a classical facade
A red-chalk muscular torso with pen studies of nudes and fighters above a columned building
The upper part of the sheet is filled by a powerful male torso and arm with a clenched fist drawn in red chalk, the head bowed, surrounded by small pen-and-ink figures in vigorous action, including men fighting with shields and swirling cloaks. The lower half carries a pen-and-ink study of a classical building facade with columns, arches, an entablature and a recessed doorway, rendered in perspective. Further small figures, among them a man lifting a heavy load and striding nudes, are scattered around the architecture. Inventory numbers, Uffizi collection marks and a faint old inscription appear in the margins but are not transcribed here.

Red-chalk muscular male torso and arm
A heavily muscled male upper body is drawn in red chalk, the head lowered and turned, the arm bent so the clenched fist rests at the center of the chest. The modelling is dense and shaded, giving the figure great weight and force.
Small studies of nudes and fighting figures
Scattered across the sheet in pen and ink are small figures in energetic poses: striding and lunging nudes, and groups of clothed men fighting with shields, staffs and billowing cloaks. Each is caught in rapid outline with little shading.
Classical facade with columns and arches
The lower half shows a building elevation with paired columns, round arches, a crowning entablature and a deep central doorway, laid out in perspective. Blank wall panels and steps frame the opening. The pen lines are ruled and measured against the freer figure sketches around them.
