Studies of a Prancing Horned Animal
Pen sketch of a rearing animal, with a second winged study alongside
A quick pen-and-ink sketch shows a spirited animal in motion, its head raised and crowned by a pair of curving horns and its legs gathered as if prancing or rearing. To the right, a separate looser study of a winged form is set down in the same brown ink. A collector's monogram stamp is placed at the upper left.

Prancing horned animal
The main figure is a four-legged animal shown in energetic movement, the body twisting and the legs bent beneath it. The head carries prominent curved horns and a shaggy crest, and the whole is drawn with rapid, searching pen strokes.
Winged study at right
At the upper right a second, looser sketch reads as a winged form, its feathers or plumes spread outward. It is drawn more faintly than the central animal and is harder to identify.
