Right-facing character head in red-brown ink, wrinkled and hook-nosed
The sheet bears a single profile head of a bald, elderly man turned to the right, drawn in red-brown ink. His face is heavily lined, with a jutting hooked nose, sunken eye, protruding lower lip and a deeply creased cheek and neck, in the manner of Leonardo's grotesque character studies. Fine parallel hatching models the shaded rear of the skull and the jaw. A collector's monogram stamp is impressed at the lower right corner.
