The transcription for this leaf (251r) records a short Italian opening, "Tell me whether anything was ever made ...", followed by a vertical column of Latin words: vel, sunt, hec, ab hoc, que, ut, sic, quia, quam, sit, est, fiat, sicut, in ac, ergo, illos. The list gathers conjunctions, pronouns and verb forms in the manner of a vocabulary or grammar study. In this photographed opening the writing is not clearly visible, the pages appearing largely blank apart from a collection stamp and folio number.
