The right leaf carries a group of quick sketches of foundry equipment, including tall vessels on stands, a crucible or ladle, a mould shown in section, and a ring-shaped form, with a note that a is to be filled with rods of bronze when it is cast. The left leaf bears only a short looped inscription reading "that cause." A further short annotation written beside the ring-shaped drawing is visible on the sheet but was not included in the transcription. Together the sketches document the practical apparatus and procedure of bronze casting.

Filling the form with bronze rods when casting
The note instructs that the part marked a is to be filled with rods (bars) of bronze at the moment of casting. It reads as a working memorandum on how metal is charged into the mould during the pour.

The sheet shows several tall vessels on stands, a crucible or ladle, a mould drawn in section at the lower left of the group, and a circular ring-shaped form. The cluster reads as the apparatus of a casting workshop.
