Show-through of the globe studies, an inscription of Leonardo's name, and catalogue-tagged mechanics
The verso is very faint, largely taken up by show-through of the globe and number studies drawn on the recto. Its own sparse content includes a figure labelled h and an inscription giving Leonardo's name and title — 'Master Leonardo, Florentine, in Milan' — together with the name Francesco. Ambrosiana cataloguers assign the leaf physics notes (a moving part dragging an immobile one; a broken brick held in the hand) and a water-driven device. Further untranscribed jottings are present.

The leaf carries an inscription naming 'Master Leonardo, Florentine, in Milan' together with the name Francesco, and a figure marked with the single letter h. These are the only firmly legible marks amid the faint show-through from the recto.
