Enclosed water dropping into water, a mechanical device in red chalk, and a measurement with pen trials
A mixed sheet combining a large red-chalk study of a mechanical device at the upper right with pen sketches of two hatched triangular forms, a small curl, and a study of a water-vein at the lower left. Leonardo labels the water sketch a vein of water falling into water and notes it as enclosed water, while a marginal reminder reads make it in a single stroke. A separate note gives a measurement of 1/3 of a braccio and 14 once alongside pen trials of the word domino. Faint further sketches and numerals not transcribed here are also present on the leaf.

A vein of water falling into water (enclosed water)
At the lower-left corner a sketch shows a vein of water falling into standing water, which Leonardo annotates as enclosed water. The note treats the behaviour of a confined stream dropping into a body of water.
Mechanical device drawn in red chalk
The upper right of the sheet carries a large red-chalk drawing of a mechanism with rollers and a boxed frame descending on long uprights. A marginal reminder, make it in a single stroke, appears to concern the execution of a drawn line rather than any transcribed detail of the device itself.
