A small fragment carries a figure of an eye with two lines converging from points on a bar down to the eye, labelled f n and g m. The note weighs a consequence of the inversion theory: if the motion from n to m appears contrary to that from g to f, then the motion from f to g should also appear contrary in the eye. Leonardo remarks that experience does not confirm this, and that further proofs are therefore needed.
