Study of Rippling, Wavelike Water
Faint black-chalk drawing of undulating water surfaces
The catalogue records this side as bearing no writing. In faint black chalk the sheet carries bands of undulating, overlapping horizontal lines that read as the rippling surface of moving water, with denser swirling forms toward the upper right. A drawn inventory number appears at lower centre.

Undulating water surface
Layered, wavelike strokes run across the whole sheet, tightening into small eddies and crests. The pattern suggests the moving surface of water rather than any fixed object, though the drawing is very lightly laid in.
