Balances, levers and small mechanisms
Numbered schemes of balances and geared devices sketched across the sheet
The verso is crowded with faint pen sketches of balances carrying hanging weights, lever arms, and small mechanical assemblies, several annotated with numerals. A balance beam with suspended pans appears at the upper left, and a ringed wheel or dial near the centre-right is surrounded by the numbers 10, 2, 30 and 20. The figures appear to record weights or ratios attached to the balances and devices.

Balance beams with numbered weights
A balance in the upper corner carries the figures 1, 1, 1, 1 and 3, while a second balance scheme drawn with the sheet inverted is numbered 2, (2), 3, 4, 1 down its arm. The numerals mark the weights hung at each station of the beam.
Ringed wheel numbered 10, 2, 30, 20
A circular device is encircled by the numbers 10, 2, 30 and 20 set around its rim, with a further related element marked 2-1-3 3 nearby.
Further numbered lever schemes
Smaller schemes toward the right and lower left carry single figures and short number groups such as 2 and 1; 2, annotating additional lever or balance arrangements.
