The pounced dotted construction of an interlaced knot filling the square
This side shows a full interlace (knot) pattern rendered almost entirely in fine dotted (pricked) lines, the pounced construction of the woven ribbon design worked on the recto. Symmetrical loops and crossings fill the square, with a few passages reinforced in ink. The catalogue notes the leaf was invisible before restoration and bears no independent writing or finished drawing.

Pricked interlace knot
A symmetrical interlace of ribbons loops and crosses across the whole square, laid out in dotted pin-pricked lines rather than solid ink. It corresponds to the pounced construction of the knot design worked on the other side of the leaf.
Dotted geometric framework
The pattern is defined entirely by fine dotted guide-lines, revealing the regular framework of arcs and angles on which the interlace is built.
