Graduated lever over a fulcrum with a pulley and weight
A measured arm a–c pivoting at m, with arcs and a hanging load raised over a pulley
A graduated arm carrying the letters d, a, e, b, g, f, m, c, n is drawn resting on a fulcrum at m, with concentric arcs swept about the pivot and a pulley at the right from which a weight hangs. The accompanying note begins to set up a proportion, saying that b m goes in ten times, but breaks off. Faint lines showing through from the other side of the sheet are not part of this folio's text.

A graduated arm pivoting at m
The measured arm carries the points d, a, e, b, g, f, m, c and n, with m serving as the fulcrum and arcs drawn about it. The note opens a proportional calculation — that b m goes in ten times — before it is left unfinished.
Weight raised over a pulley
At the right end of the baseline a pulley wheel is drawn, with a weight hanging from a cord passed over it. The pulley links the load to the graduated arm swinging about the fulcrum.
