Fractions of a turn through successive stages

At the left, details of screws and cylinders wound with rope are annotated with the remark that the action can be achieved by means of a rope. Below, pincers designed to be worked from a distance are shown, with a note on their cutting edge.
A way of ploughing without oxen
A caption at the left proposes a method of ploughing without oxen, replacing draught animals with a mechanism. It is one of several labour-saving contrivances jotted across the sheet.
Crossbow and bombard studies
Among the mechanisms are small studies catalogued as a dart-throwing wheel, trestle- and carriage-mounted crossbows, and bombards including one mounted on a boat. These arms are drawn rather than described, and no dedicated text for them is transcribed here.
