Pen sketches of mechanisms fill the sheet: a large toothed wheel set within a domed frame at right, and arched spring-bow devices at upper right and lower left. In the upper-left corner Leonardo lists a series of light, pithy plant substances - elder pith, cork, sorghum, gourd pith, colocynth, rush pith, hemp and cardoon - and lower down jots the name 'Francesco In...'. The drawn machines themselves are not captioned in the transcription.

Spring-bow devices and a geared machine
A large spoked toothed wheel is enclosed in a domed, braced frame at the right of the sheet, and arched spring-bow mechanisms are sketched at upper right and lower left, one mounted on a bench with a small cog. No caption accompanies these mechanical studies.
List of light plant materials
A short column names light, pithy plant substances: elder pith, cork, sorghum (meliga), gourd pith, colocynth, pith of rushes, hemp and cardoon. The grouping reads as a survey of lightweight plant materials.
