Mechanical study of a lifting apparatus with drum, threaded screw column and lever arm
This restored recto bears a large mechanical drawing rather than text: a heavy frame stiffened with crossed diagonal bracing, a circular drum, a vertical threaded screw column and a long pivoted lever or piston arm, forming an apparatus for hoisting a large structure. The e-Leo catalogue records the sheet as 'devoid of writing,' but faint traces of mirror-script survive at the left edge and remain untranscribed here. Fainter secondary sketches appear at the lower left and lower center.

Braced hoisting frame with drum and screw
A large frame stiffened by crossed diagonal braces encloses a circular drum; a threaded vertical column and a long pivoted lever arm are set within it. The assembly reads as a hoist for raising a heavy load or structure.
Threaded vertical screw at the right
At the right edge a tall threaded screw passes through collar-brackets, apparently one of the lifting screws of the apparatus. It stands vertically, aligned with the main frame.
