Effaced Sheet of Machine Studies with the Number 100
A heavily faded sheet of mechanical sketches in ink and red chalk; only a single numeral is transcribed
This sheet is heavily effaced, its drawings surviving as faint ink outlines overlaid with red and pink chalk. Sketches of machinery are scattered across it, including gear-and-crank assemblies, a large wheel or drum, cylindrical vessels at the upper right and a hanging pear-shaped weight near the top. Only the numeral 100, set beside a figure in the lower right corner, is given in the transcription; the many drawings and any further notes on the sheet are otherwise untranscribed here.

Faint sketches of geared machinery
Across the sheet appear faint studies of mechanical assemblies: gear-and-crank arrangements at left and centre, a large wheel or drum toward the lower right, and paired cylindrical vessels at the upper right. The lines are much rubbed and reinforced with red chalk, and no accompanying text for them is transcribed.
The numeral 100
A figure in the lower right corner is annotated with the number 100, the sole inscription transcribed from this otherwise effaced sheet.
