Masonry studies with a note on stoves
Brick courses, walls and a circular hub; a memorandum that stoves were abandoned for warm winds
The upper part of this faded sheet carries small ink studies of masonry: herringbone brick courses, stepped walls and a circular hub with radiating spokes. A short line notes that the stoves were abandoned because of the warm winds, and a further word is broken off at a mutilated edge. A large rectangular plan visible lower down is offset show-through from the recto rather than drawing on this side.

Brickwork courses, walls and a circular hub
The top-left of the sheet holds small studies of masonry construction: patterned brick courses, stepped wall sections and a circular hub from which spokes radiate. The drawings are light and partly rubbed.
Memorandum on abandoned stoves
A brief note records that the stoves were abandoned because of the warm winds. It reads as a jotted reminder rather than a caption to any particular drawing.
