Milk-and-Lime Recipe with Mechanical Sketches
A materials note on making a good paste, amid screw jacks, cranks and lever arms
Only a brief materials note from the upper-left corner is transcribed — 'Take milk and lime and you will make a good...' — the opening of a formula for a paste or cement. The rest of the sheet is crowded with mechanical sketches, including a vertical screw jack, cranked handles and lever arms in the lower half. Much of the page's mirror-script text was not included in the bundle and remains untranscribed.

Screw jack, cranks and lever arms
The lower half of the sheet is filled with mechanical studies drawn in ink: a tall vertical member carrying a screw, cranked handles ending in knobs, and jointed lever arms. They read as components of lifting or driving mechanisms rather than a single finished machine.
