Blank verso; recto machinery showing through
The mechanism drawn on the recto appears faintly through the thin sheet.
The e-Leo note records that this side of the leaf was invisible before restoration and bears no writing or drawing of its own. What can be seen is the recto (folio 1044r) showing through the thin paper: faint wheels, a long horizontal roller or beam, and a large circle crossed by a diagonal. No autograph text is present on this face.

Mechanism visible through the paper
Faint mechanical forms show through from the other side of the leaf: two disc-like wheels at the left, a long horizontal roller or beam across the middle, and a large circle cut by a diagonal line below. These are the recto's drawing seen in reverse, not marks made on this face.
