Blank verso; boat mechanism showing through
The boat-drive drawn on the recto appears faintly through the sheet.
The e-Leo note records that this face was invisible before restoration and carries no writing or drawing of its own. What is faintly visible is the recto (folio 1045r) showing through the thin paper: the horizontal disc or paddle-wheel, its geared frame, and the rounded boat hulls, all seen in reverse. No autograph text is present on this side.

Boat mechanism visible through the paper
Faint forms show through from the recto: the broad disc or paddle-wheel near the top, the cranked frame beneath it, and the rounded hull studies lower down. These are the drawing of folio 1045r seen in reverse, not marks made on this face.
