The leaf is covered with scattered columns of figures and worked arithmetical operations, among them numbers such as 4824, 984 and 37978. Interspersed with the numbers are small pen sketches: long horizontal beams resting on trestle-like supports, a coiled or looped element, and a couple of boxed plans at lower left and right. Further columns of figures beyond those transcribed remain visible across the sheet.

Worked columns of figures
The transcription records loose groups of numbers set in columns together with short worked operations, for example 4824, 0402, 0804, 984, 37978 and 00309. They read as trial multiplications and additions jotted across the sheet rather than one continuous calculation.
Beams on trestle supports
At upper left and mid-left the pen sketches show long horizontal beams carried on pairs of trestle-like uprights. The repeated members suggest a study of how a span rests on and loads its supports.
Small boxed plans and a looped element
Toward the centre a chain of loops, a coil or series of rings, is drawn, and small squares subdivided into compartments appear at lower left and lower right. These read as quick sketches of device parts or plans accompanying the calculations.
