Faint mechanical studies revealed by restoration
A verso, invisible before conservation, bearing device sketches but no writing
This verso was invisible before restoration and, as the catalogue note records, carries no writing. Across the blue-grey sheet, however, faint pen sketches of mechanical apparatus survive: a tall crank-driven column at the left, a large spoked wheel set on an inclined track at the lower right, and smaller pulley- or balance-like assemblies. These untranscribed drawings read as studies of hoisting and lifting devices.
