Machine Studies: Geared Shaft, Screw and Wheels
Gear trains, lantern pinions and a paddle wheel, with pen trials at lower right
The sheet is filled with mechanical studies: a long horizontal shaft carried on an open timber frame and driven through a large toothed wheel, a crank-turned vertical gear, lantern pinions, a coiled screw feeding into a boxed housing, and a broad spoked wheel below. The only text the transcription records is a set of idle pen trials in the lower right corner, among them the word 'Domine'. Further small mechanical components are sketched down the left edge. Confidence in the machine identifications is moderate, since the page carries no explanatory notes.

Compound machine: geared shaft, screw and wheels
A long horizontal shaft is carried on an open timber frame and set in motion through a large toothed wheel meshing at its right end. A crank turns a vertical gear at the left, while a coiled screw feeds into a small boxed mechanism at center-right. Lantern pinions and a broad spoked wheel are drawn below.
Component studies along the left margin
The far left margin carries a vertical column of small isolated mechanical parts, apparently details of the larger assembly. They include bracket- and block-like fittings drawn one above another.
