Two machine studies fill the sheet, though the accompanying note records only that the leaf was invisible before restoration and bears no writing. The upper drawing shows a large framed structure set on rollers, fitted with a projecting boom and a toothed wheel, standing in water. The lower drawing shows a timber frame carrying two vertical shafts that descend into a rectangular basin, driven by a crank and a small toothed wheel, apparently a pump or water-raising device.

Framed structure on rollers with boom and gear
A large box-like frame built of posts and cross-members stands on rollers at its base, with a projecting boom or crane arm rising from the top and a large toothed wheel engaged at one side. The whole apparatus is set in water, indicated by wavy lines beneath and beside it.
Pump or water-raising frame over a basin
