Mechanical Studies: Wheel, Screw Press, and a Bolt Device
Pen studies of a bolt mechanism, a spoked wheel with a ratchet, and a framed press with pulleys
Three mechanical assemblies are drawn in pen across the sheet. At the left a stout cylinder fitted with a locking bolt stands over a large downward arrowhead-shaped element; at the centre a spoked wheel is set into a frame with a curved toothed rack and levers; and at the right a tall rectangular frame carries screws, cross-beams and a vertical train of pulleys or rollers. The supplied note records the sheet as invisible before restoration and devoid of writings and drawings, but these pen mechanisms are clearly present here and are not otherwise transcribed.

Spoked wheel with toothed rack and levers
A large spoked wheel is mounted within a frame at the centre of the sheet. A curved toothed rack and several levers engage below it, suggesting a mechanism that drives or is driven by the wheel.
Framed press with screws and pulley train
At the right a tall rectangular frame holds vertical screws and horizontal beams, with a vertical row of pulleys or rollers along its outer edge. It reads as a press or lifting frame worked by screw and cord.
Cylinder with locking bolt and arrowhead
At the left a stout cylinder is fitted with a bolt and wing-nut and stands above a large arrowhead-shaped element. The arrangement suggests a spring, striker or driving mechanism, though the sheet gives no caption for it.
