Near-blank verso with show-through of the still
Fragments invisible before restoration, bearing only the recto's labels
The verso is almost bare: two areas of the sheet were invisible before restoration and carry no writing or drawings of their own. What can be read is the show-through of the recto's distilling vessel and its labels, noting where continually renewed water must stand, where the smoke enters, and where the substance to be distilled is placed.
