Siege engines: wall-catapults and a lance-bearing horse
Stone-throwing catapults with toothed winding wheels, annotated with weights
A sheet crowded with siege engines drawn in pen: at the right a tall timber catapult braced against a fortified wall, its arm and counterweight labelled with the loads it hurls, and to its left spring-armed catapults with dramatically curved throwing arms. A large toothed wheel serves as the winding ratchet of one engine, and the lower margin adds a note about a horse carrying three lances. The annotations give charge weights in pounds (up to 1000) and a projectile of 40 pounds of stone. Faint further sketches and untranscribed jottings are also present across the sheet.

Catapult braced against the wall
The tall engine at the right is set against a fortified wall and marked with its loads: 1000 pounds and, for the named machine 'Il Fracasso' (The Crasher), a stone shot of 40 pounds thrown across a span of 30 braccia. The word 'Fulminano' (they strike like lightning) captions the battery of engines.
Catapult with toothed winding wheel
A detail shows a catapult (labelled 'Tranubolo', a trebuchet) whose arm is drawn together with a large toothed wheel that acts as the winding ratchet. The figure 1000 is written beside it, giving the load.
Horse carrying three lances
The lower margin notes a war device: a horse fitted to carry three lances. A small horse-and-rider group is sketched among the engines nearby.
