The sheet shows, in two parallel views, a long barrel set in a rectangular frame with a threaded rod running through it and a large disc or wheel with a crank at the right end. A short note beneath the lower drawing instructs one to take a small pot of tallow or melted wax and pour it over the spingarda while turning it, a step for greasing or finishing the barrel of this light gun. The apparatus reads as a rig for turning and working the barrel rather than for firing it.
