The sheet is filled with rapid sketches of membraned, bat-like wings and their ribs, together with an articulated jointed device at the right resembling a mechanical wing-armature or hand. At the top a brief personal jotting begins with 'My fortune…' and the opening of an invocation, 'In the name [of]…'.
