Cams, pulleys and a press frame beside a worked calculation totalling 7500
The sheet is covered with pen studies of mechanisms: two scroll- or snail-shaped cams on axles at the top, a framed press or jack with two upright posts at the centre-right, and belt-driven wheels or pulleys mounted on shafts at the left. In the upper corner a column of figures sets out a multiplication, 300 by 25, working down through partial products to 7500. The Ambrosiana's scholarly tags group the leaf with Leonardo's geometry, algebra and 'Book of equation' material. Much of the mechanical draughting is faint and further untranscribed jottings may be present.

A worked multiplication totalling 7500
A short column of numbers sets 300 against 25 and works down through partial products of 1500 and 600 to a total of 7500. The arrangement is a plain long-multiplication of the two figures.
Cams, a press frame and belt-driven wheels
Two scroll- or snail-shaped cams turn on short axles across the top of the sheet. At the centre-right a rectangular frame with two upright posts encloses a sliding block, like a press or jack, while at the left large wheels carry belts on their shafts.
