Gearing, hung weights and a press, with a multiplication
Racks, drums and pulleys on the verso, beside the calculation 25 x 300 = 7500
The verso continues the mechanical studies of the recto in fainter ink and leadpoint: a long toothed rack across the top, rows of drums or weights hung on cords, a helical roller, a framed press at the centre, and gears and pulleys below. Near the middle a small column of figures repeats the multiplication of 25 by 300, again reaching 7500. The Ambrosiana groups the leaf with Leonardo's geometry and algebra, including the squaring of the circle. Several passages of draughting are faint and further untranscribed notes may be present.

Rack, hung weights and a press frame
A long toothed rack runs across the top of the sheet, and rows of cylindrical drums or weights hang from cords beside gears and pulleys. A framed press with upright posts stands at the centre, echoing the mechanism on the recto.
The multiplication 25 x 300
A small column of numbers sets 25 against 300 and arrives at 7500, the same product worked on the recto. It is a plain arithmetical multiplication of the two figures.
