A worked calculation reaching 2160, beside barely-visible machine studies
The verso is very faint, with a small column of figures the only firmly legible text: a short calculation running through 72, 30, 18 and 44 to a product of 2160. Ghostly outlines of machinery show through the sheet, including a low horizontal device at the left and slighter studies below. The catalogue links the numbers to a fundamental unit of measure Leonardo used in his constructions.

Faint machine studies showing through the sheet
Beneath and around the figures, pale outlines of mechanical apparatus are visible: a long low device at the left and smaller studies, largely erased or shown through from the recto. Further untranscribed marks remain too faint to read with certainty.
