Wheeled war-engine and a tall runged frame

Although the transcription records the leaf as bearing no writing, it is covered with pen sketches of mechanical and military apparatus. At the right a wheeled carriage supports a steeply inclined, closely hatched platform braced by cords and a triangular strut, a device the Ambrosiana classes among defensive war-engines (a 'cacciafrusto'). The left half is filled by a tall pair of uprights joined by many horizontal rungs and iron brackets, while a rolling beam with pulleys and a small triangular vane runs across the top. An old inventory number is inked on the frame.

Wheeled engine with an inclined platform
A carriage running on wheels carries a steeply raked, closely hatched panel or ramp. Beneath it a triangular strut and taut cords brace the platform, suggesting a device that could be raised or swung against attackers. The sheet is catalogued among defensive war-engines of the 'cacciafrusto' type.
Tall runged frame with iron fittings
Two long vertical members are joined by a ladder of horizontal bars, each secured by drawn metal straps and brackets. The structure reads as a tall frame, scaffold or scaling ladder. An inventory number is written between the uprights.
Rolling beam with pulleys
Across the top of the sheet a horizontal beam carries several rollers or pulleys, with a small triangular vane and a long diagonal pole running down toward the frame below. It appears to be a hoisting or conveying element.
