Loose sums, an eight-pointed star and octagons, with a note to sublimate eight times
A faint working sheet, mostly in metalpoint, crowded with loose numbers, columns of sums and short calculations. Among them Leonardo has sketched geometric figures - an eight-pointed star, several octagons and squares with inscribed shapes, and circles carrying numbers - along with a rough arched sketch and tall spindle-like triangles. Turned upside down at the foot of the sheet is a short chemical recipe directing that sublimate, sal ammoniac and salt be sublimated eight times.

Polygons and inscribed figures
The upper and central sheet carries an eight-pointed star polygon, squares enclosing inscribed figures, and octagons, some annotated with small numbers such as 8 2 4 4 4 2 6 and 6 4. Circles nearby bear the numbers 19 6 2.
Columns of sums and short operations
A vertical column adds 12, 6, 18, 24, 6, 12 to a total of 90, and other loose operations and number-rows run across the sheet, including a division-like layout of 9, 3, 27, 14 and larger figures grouped at the foot.
Recipe to sublimate eight times
Written with the sheet turned, a short formula reads: sublimate 6 ounces, sal ammoniac one ounce and salt one ounce; sublimate 8 times. It is a distillation/sublimation recipe of the kind linked to the still and furnace catalogued with this group of sheets.
