Two water devices are numbered 30 and 31 on this pale-ink sheet. Figure 30 is a pressure pump, drawn as a tall cylinder topped by a basin; figure 31 is a large pouring vessel feeding six conduits, annotated with the word 'continuo' (continuous) and the note that each conduit behaves like the one above it. The conduits descend as a stepped rank of hooked lines at the right.

Figure 30 is titled a pressure pump. It is drawn at upper left as a tall cylindrical body carrying an open basin above, the reservoir it forces water into.
Large pouring vessel with six conduits (fig. 31)
Figure 31 shows a large vessel that pours into six conduits marked 'continuous'. Leonardo notes that each of these conduits, taken by itself, is of the same nature as the one above it. The conduits are drawn as a descending rank of hooked lines.
