Note on prominent veins; seed inventory and sums
A memo to study the veins of a man at the Brolio hospital, plus figures, 2 ducats, and a list of seeds
In red chalk Leonardo notes that Piscin da Mozania, at the hospital of Brolio, has many prominent veins in the arms and legs, a subject worth studying. The rest of the sheet carries accounts: a column of figures adding to 145, a measure of 7 1/2 braccia, a note of 2 ducats, and an inventory of seed and grain varieties (broad beans, white and red sorghum, foxtail millet, millet, beans, peas). A few small, indistinct sketches in red chalk, including a bending figure and a triangular form, accompany the notes.
